After completing his studies, Oleg joined Unimatic, the family-owned business founded by his father, Igor Fishelev. Initially starting in operational roles, he quickly gained an in-depth understanding of the company’s manufacturing and management processes. His dedication and hands-on experience led him to the role of Deputy General Director, where he championed digital transformation and automation initiatives, significantly enhancing Unimatic’s operational efficiency.
In 2018, Oleg took full ownership of Unimatic, becoming the Chairman of the Board and steering the company toward a new phase of growth and innovation. Under his leadership, Unimatic made a strategic pivot towards import substitution, developing localized CNC machines to meet the demand for domestic manufacturing. When geopolitical factors impacted global trade in 2021, Oleg led Unimatic through a strategic shift, focusing on the Chinese market. The establishment of Dalian Unimatic Trading Co. Ltd. (DUT) in China marked a major milestone, allowing the company to become a leading importer of Chinese machinery and positioning Unimatic as a key player in the Russian mechanical engineering sector.
