Naruto and Sasuke are undoubtedly the strongest characters in the Naruto franchise. After the 4th Great Ninja War, the gap between these two characters and the rest of the ninjas became as clear as daylight.
However, one great aspect of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden is that it doesn’t solely revolve around these two characters. Throughout the series, Naruto fans witnessed some powerful ninjas who were unmatched in their skills and this article is dedicated to them.
Here, I will discuss the gutsy ninjas in Naruto who, I believe, can take any anime superhero to cleaners on the day. So, without further ado, let’s get started.
Hashirama Senju
Besides being the First Hokage of the Hidden Leaf Village, Hashirama Senju was one of the most powerful shinobi of his generation. Hashirama was gifted with Wood Style, a Kekkei Genkai that enabled him to control the tailed beasts at will. Plus, years of hard work and training had made his chakra nearly inexhaustible.
Along with a Kekkei Genkai, Hashirama’s medical prowess was even greater than Tsunade’s medical skills, as he could heal wounds without weaving signs.
Everything aside, Hashirama’s greatest moment was his victory over Madara in the Valley of the End, for sure. Though he didn’t want to fight his childhood friend, it was necessary to ensure a safe future for the generations to come.
Tidbit: Do you know Naruto’s franchise and its sequel, Boruto is available on Netflix? Well, not just these, Netflix has several anime to binge-watch right now! But, don’t forget to have a reliable connection( my personal choice: Spectrum Internet for fast speeds and reliability) because buffering ruins all the fun, right?
Madara Uchiha
Madara grew up during times of war when every clan wanted to wipe out the other. However, Madara believed in friendship as he shook hands with Hashirama Senju, his clan’s bloodlust rival. And years later, both the friends laid the foundations of the Hidden Leaf Village.
However, the turning point for Madara came when the oppression of the Uchiha clan increased. And it didn’t take long for Madara to realize that the concept of village, brotherhood, and peace was just a façade. Consequently, his ideology, which once synced with Hashirama became polar opposite.
To settle things once and for all, Madara challenged Hashirama to a fight in the Valley of the End. It was rumored that Hashirama defeated Madara and buried his philosophy. But years later, Madara once again terrified the ninja world, where he was seen as Obito’s mentor.
Although Hashirama did defeat Madara, he was one of the strongest characters in the series. Madara’s skills and execution peaked when he toyed with all five Kage in the 4th Great Ninja War, and it’s a testament to his potential.
Also, most fans might think that since Madara was a Uchiha, his greatest weapon was Sharingan. However, that’s not true because shortly before his death, Madara successfully awakened his Rinnegan, which ultimately became his greatest weapon.
Itachi Uchiha
Even as a child, Itachi thought like a Hokage as he single-handedly wiped his clan members for the sake of the Hidden Leaf Village. Also, even after joining Akatsuki, Itachi’s love for the Hidden Leaf Village was evident as he didn’t let the organization attack the village.
Itachi’s greatest weapon was his Genjutsu, specifically Mangekyou Sharingan. His Sharingan was so accurate and effective that he could cast it on his enemies simply by looking at them. And once his enemies were trapped inside Genjutsu, Itachi could do anything to them. Remember how Itachi toyed with Kakashi when he trapped him inside his Genjutsu? It was so effective that even a strong ninja like him spent weeks recovering in the hospital.
Kakashi Hatake
Mastering 1,000 Jutsus is no small feat, and it’s exclusive only to Kakashi of the Hidden Leaf Village. However, even after having 1,000 Jutsus in his repertoire, Kakashi’s greatest weapon was his Sharingan, which Obito Uchiha gifted.
It wouldn’t be wrong to say that Kakashi’s character peaked during the 4th Great Ninja War. It was when Kakashi called the Perfect Susanoo after getting the other Sharingan from Obito. Although Kakashi wasn’t a Uchiha, his Perfect Susanoo speaks volumes of how powerful Kakashi was in the series.
Master Jiraya
Jiraya’s start as a ninja was a disappointing one. As a kid mentored by the Third Hokage himself, Jiraya showed little to no progress in his ninja skills. Also, it’s no lie that among the legendary Sannins, Jiraya was considered weaker than Orochimaru and Tsunade.
However, it was the trip to Mount Myouboku that changed Jiraya’s fate. From learning the “Sage Mode” from the toads of Mount Myouboku to defeating several members of pain without knowing anything about Rinnegan, Jiraya quickly rose to the ranks of one of the most powerful ninjas in Naruto.
